Anna Muckerman
Programs Manager
Anna Muckerman (she/her) is from St. Louis, Missouri. She obtained a degree in Conflict and Peace Studies from DePauw University in 2015, during which time she focused on restorative justice practices. After graduating and returning to St. Louis, Anna joined the Juvenile Conference Committee, a diversion program overseen by St. Louis County Family Courts that offers youth an alternative to court for first time misdemeanors. Anna has led hundreds of restorative justice-based meetings with families, juveniles, and community members, and she currently serves as the Chairperson of the Normandy Committee. She feels passionately about giving youth a voice and diverting them from touching the justice system.
Prior to joining CRCSTL, Anna coordinated a team of volunteers that taught various life skills classes in correctional facilities, did community outreach, and oversaw programming for clients. Working in the re-entry space only made it more clear that positive intervention is needed before a person’s first interaction with the system. This understanding fuels her passion for working with youth and giving them skills they need to navigate conflict through Student-Led Peer Mediation.
Anna has also served as a volunteer mediator and Courtroom Support professional for CRCSTL. Outside of conflict resolution and criminal justice reform, Anna is passionate about food and has worked at many local restaurants and Trader Joes. She enjoys music, travel, being with friends, and roller skating.
