Legal Services of Eastern Missouri Old North Office Open House ⚖️
On June 28, 2023, CRCSTL was on hand to celebrate the open house event for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s (LSEM) new storefront in the Old North neighborhood of St. Louis City. LSEM is a regional nonprofit that provides civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. What a great way to invest in the area to have a dedicated space in this neighborhood, increasing accessibility for clients.
Black Wall Street 314 Festival
The #BlackWallStreet314 Festival is an annual gathering that brings together thousands of local community members to enjoy a day filled with cultural experiences and live entertainment to celebrate St. Louis’ African American community. The day is filled with local business booths, health and financial wellness resources, networking opportunities, family fun, and more. CRCSTL was on hand chatting with event goers about our free services. We greatly appreciate these locally held events as a place to gather with the community.
CIC Pride Event 🏳️🌈
CRCSTL Executive Director, Wolf Smith (they/them), joined other panelists as part of the Cortex Innovation Community (CIC) celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community for Pride month. The panel discussion kicked off the event followed by food and drink along with craft and resource booths.
Wolf was joined by other panels, John Land (he/him), General Manager of CIC St. Louis, Gilberto Pinela (he/him), Communications Manager of Cortex Innovation Community, and Elizabeth Fuchs (she/her), Academic Activist, Community Healer, and Lecturer of the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis.
OPV Kickback - Mt. Pleasant ☀️
As summer gets underway, the June OVP Kickback was a great event! We love getting to know members of the community and educating the public on our free services around conflict coaching, mediation, conflict resolution and promoting de-escalation in hopes of preventing violence.
These are free neighborhood events, providing residents a place to gather for food, music and entertainment. Each future events will be hosted in new locations on the third Saturday of every month.

HealSTL Resource Fair
The 1st Annual HealSTL Resource Fair was held on June 17, 2023 at Strauss Park from 11 am to 3 pm. This art and wellness-focused fair brought together various nonprofit organizations, local vendors and artisans for an afternoon of community education and welfare. Thank you HealSTL!
